What better way to welcome summers’ warmer days and lighter evenings than grabbing a blanket and basket, and indulging in a leisurely picnic. A number of Red Carnation hotels across the UK (and further afield) are giving guests the opportunity to dine alfresco with the delivery of a plush picnic hamper featuring Lanson champagne, afternoon tea feasts, tasty cheese platters and more!

A serene city break: The Milestone Hotel, Kensington

The five star Milestone Hotel occupies a prime location opposite Kensington Palace and Gardens. As part of the hotel‘s Picnic in the Park service, staff deliver traditional wicker baskets filled with freshly baked treats and sandwiches to the hotel’s neighbouring parks, allowing guests to make the most of London’s sunny days. Guests can choose from the Picnic Feast menu or a traditional afternoon tea, enjoyed al fresco. The Picnic Feast is priced from £120 per basket (for two sharing) and includes delicate finger sandwiches plus a succulent and crispy sesame crusted corn fed chicken with coleslaw, freshly baked bread, prawn and crayfish cocktail, smoked salmon and cheese platter, a selection of tasty pastries and a half bottle of Lanson Champagne, or a flight of three Lanson Champagnes. The Afternoon Tea Picnic is priced from £120 per basket (for two sharing) and includes finger sandwiches, pastries, freshly baked scones and Champagne. A country escape: Summer Lodge Country House Hotel, Dorset

The stunning five star Summer Lodge Country House Hotel in Dorset is adjacent to the 600 acre Melbury Estate and Deer Park which offers guests access to an expanse of countryside landscape.
