Popping “the question” is not just a matter of getting the words out in the right order.  After all, there’s only four of them; “Will you marry me?”  So how hard is that?  The really tricky bit is creating the right romantic environment, building up to the perfect moment, and then delivering your proposal with irresistible charm and style.  After all, the moment will be remembered, not just for a few hours, days, months or years – but forever!  So make it truly, stupendously, amazingly magical.

How many times have you done this?  Hopefully not as many times as us!  So let us take care of all the details.  Then you can pay attention to the most important thing of all - your prospective bride.

We will ensure your booking, and all planning, is handled discreetly - your partner will suspect nothing and you can maintain an air of mystery right the way until the all-important moment.

ARRIVAL
The concierge will be expecting you and will ensure that your plans are kept under-wraps until the time arrives!

PRE-PROPOSAL PAMPERING
We will also arrange some pre-proposal pampering for both of you. Gentlemen will be whisked away to Trufitt and Hill for a traditional hot towel wet shave, or other treatment of your choice.  Ladies can relax with a Spa treatment provided by our resident beauty therapist.  When you return to your room and get ready for dinner there will be a glass of champagne and canapés waiting for you.

1) Dinner and Proposal

Choose from one of the following venues to create your perfect proposal. We will arrange a bespoke menu for you to include yours and your lovers favourite dishes, alternatively you could choose our seven course tasting menu, complete with matched wines, or you may prefer to select from Cheneston’s a la carte menu.

• Our intimate Oratory restaurant will be candlelit and set for two with discreet service.
• Candlelit Terrace from one of our Suites, discreet service and your choice of music playing, alternatively we can arrange a harpist, violinist or flautist.
• In your suite! as above but slightly warmer!!
• With any of these options our waiting staff can “serve” ring with the courses of your choice. Or you may prefer it to be presented to your lover in a glass of champagne, or on a single long stem rose.

2) BedTime Proposal

Whilst you enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner we will arrange for your room to be turned  down.  The ring will be placed on a long stem red rose in the middle of the bed, surrounded by rose petals.  A chilled bottle of champagne will be on stand-by and the room will be candle-lit with your choice of music playing in the background.

3) Alfresco Proposal (£50 supplement)

Following lunch or dinner in Cheneston’s our chauffeured car will take you and your lover to one of London’s romantic hotspots for you to propose.  We will give you enough time to pop the question, then your chauffeur will pop the cork on the chilled champagne for you to sip in your return to the hotel via Hyde Park. We would like to suggest one of the following romantic locations:

• Under the Statue of Eros
• Big Ben at night
• Tower Bridge walkway
• Trafalgar Square at night
• Whispering Gallery at St Paul’s Cathedral
• Shakespeare’ Globe Theatre
• Or any other location in London that is special to you as a couple

Included in the Proposal Package:

• Welcome glass of champagne
• One treatment per person to the value of £100 each
• Dinner at the hotel to the value of £50 per person (not including wine)
• Souvenir photo of your suite at turndown and a copy of your dinner menu
• Romantic Turndown, including rose petals, champagne, candles, aroma therapy bath oils and soft music
• Breakfast in Bed

Bespoke your package by choosing to add the following:

• Seven course tasting menu for dinner in any setting
• Bentley pick up from any London terminus or airport
• One dozen red roses on departure to take away with our best wishes
• Additional treatments can be booked and will be charged as taken
• Private musician to play to you and your lover during dinner in your suite
• Midnight feast to savour the moment
• We can arrange a treasure hunt around London with clues that will spell out ‘Marry Me’
• Arrange a pony and trap ride through Hyde Park on your morning of departure to keep the mood going!
• If you haven’t already brought the ring why not get our chauffeur to take you both to Tiffany’s to choose it!

We would then like to invite you back to celebrate your 1st Anniversary with a candlelit dinner with our compliments.
