What's hot in London this weekend?

London really is the world in one city and this weekend visitors to the capital will have the chance to explore Spanish and Thai cultures.

People from all corners of the globe call London home and this richness and diversity is what makes it one of the greatest cities in the world.

This weekend, there will be a celebration of Spanish culture, highlighting the country's food, music, sport and more.

Visitors' taste buds will be taken on a culinary journey through the different regions of Spain, with dishes such as gazpacho, jamon and paella just some of the treats on offer.

In addition, there will be an exploration of Spanish sporting history, with an F1 simulator replicating various race tracks in the country, along with a golf simulator and a full-scale scalextric to enjoy as well.

The soundtrack to the event will be provided by acclaimed guitarist Paco Fernandez and La Gente de Sol, with Foc i Fum, Annie B and Charanga La Chicuelina also performing.

As well as boasting a sizeable Spanish community, London is home to thousands of Thais.

Britain and Thailand enjoy close relations, with many Brits holidaying in the country, while the food is very popular here.

To mark the links between the two nations, one of London's most famous landmarks will become the setting for a festival celebrating Thai culture.

Thailand at Trafalgar Square will get Londoners excited about the country's rich culture, cuisine, music and dance.

Both modern and classical Thailand will be represented at the event, which will bring the vibrancy and passion of this beautiful country to the streets of the capital.

Not too far away at Sadler's Wells will be the chance to explore an enthralling element of Japanese culture.

Kabuki dates from the early 17th century and is a highly-stylised performance art that combines colourful costumes, elaborate make-up and flamboyant dance moves to create a spectacular show.

Ebizo Ichikawa XI is one of the most accomplished of all Kabuki practitioners and visitors to the capital can see him perform in all his glory this weekend.

The programme is based on the play Yoshitsune Senbon Zakura and sees Ichikawa joined by 40 actors and musicians to deliver a masterclass in this elegant and thrilling Japanese dance.

As always, there is something going on for art lovers this weekend.

In fact, there is the broadest and most accessible fine art and antiques event in the capital to enjoy.

The London International Fine Art Fair is one of the most prestigious events in Europe and highlights London's status as a world focal point for art and antiques.

As well as having the opportunity to pick up various paintings and objects, art fans can also look forward to a special exhibition called Modern British Masters: Pictures from the Bryan Ferry Collection, which will present 15 of the artist's rarely-seen works.

Motoring fans can enjoy a celebration of horsepower, torque and styling at the Canary Wharf London Motorexpo.

Vehicles from some of the world's most prestigious manufacturers will be on display, including models from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Bentley and Jaguar.

Once again, the capital's cultural offerings do not disappoint, but visitors may find that some of the hotels in the city do.

To avoid this problem, those enjoying a weekend break should book a stay at the luxury London hotel the Milestone.

With the Art and Antiques package, guests can look forward to a full English breakfast in addition to a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a romantic turndown, a three-course table d'hote dinner or a flight on the London Eye.
