It is a bank holiday weekend and that means an extra day to take in the capital's cultural delights, including The Deep exhibition.
Opening at the Natural History Museum this Friday (May 28th), The Deep is a chance for nature lovers to experience life in four zones of the deep sea.
Many beautiful and rare specimens will be on display, including shimmering jellyfish, a real sperm whale skeleton that has never gone on show before and colossal squid.
Various film screenings will also take place, as will an ocean exploration discovering different creatures living in the deep blue sea.
It is a great opportunity to delve into the secrets of the ocean without getting one's feet wet.
Another very different exhibition will also be opening the same day at the Tate Modern.
Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera will explore the world of photographic images taken without the explicit permission of those depicted, offering an illuminating perspective on subjects considered taboo and iconic.
It will provoke awkward questions about who is watching who and examine the history of invasive looking through works from the likes of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Walker Evans and Brassai.
Those hoping to for a musical experience on their weekend break in London could head to the Southbank Centre where violinist Nigel Kennedy will turn the venue into a Polish enclave for three days.
Nigel Kennedy's Polish Weekend will see various performances from Polish artists and musicians, highlighting the country's rich cultural heritage in various genres of music.
And what would a weekend break in the capital be without taking in a show?
Those travelling with children can give the whole family a treat by heading to the New Wimbledon Theatre to see Spamalot, a hilarious musical based on the cult film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Following the antics of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, the show promises lots of laughs, with a score comprising some of the nation's favourites, including He is Not Dead Yet, Find Your Grail and Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
After the show, mum, dad and the kids will be whistling all the way back to the luxury London hotel the Milestone, where Fun 4 All the Family awaits.
Guests can book one room and get a 50 per cent discount on another, meaning everyone can enjoy the same levels of comfort and class this bank holiday weekend.
