Polo in the Park at Hurlingham Park

Hurlingham Park is the historic home of polo and it is here guests at the luxury London hotel the Milestone will find the finest purveyors of the sport doing what they do best.

Last year, more than 25,000 people packed the park to watch the inaugural Polo in the Park competition, which marked the return of the game to its spiritual home for the first time in 70 years.

This year looks like it will prove just as popular, with eight global teams including those from New York, Buenos Aires and Geneva travelling to the capital to demonstrate their skills.

Polo in the Park has done for the sport what Twenty20 has done for cricket.
In a bid to make polo more accessible, the organisers have modified the rules to make it more of a high-octane spectacle and visitors will not be disappointed by what they see.

The programme also features a special entertainment line-up which will include jousting, military displays and barbecues.

When the last ball is played, visitors can make the short journey back to the Milestone and enjoy the delights of the Get More From Your Stay package.

Guests are offered a choice from a chilled bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a romantic turndown, a £50 shopping voucher to spend at Harrods, a three-course table d'hote dinner for two and a flight on the London Eye.
