What's hot in London this weekend?

Easter is fast approaching and there are few better cities in the world for the whole family to enjoy the extended weekend break than London.

The kids are off school, meaning they need something to do to occupy their young minds and keep them out of mischief.

That is where the Foundling Museum comes in.

Here, mum, dad and the kids can spend the day creating Easter-themed items in the museum's free Hopping Mad craft sessions.

Making bunny ears, masks and cards will be just some of the creative activities families will find themselves involved in.

No Easter treat would be complete without an egg hunt and on the Sunday the museum will hold a Chocolate Bunny Hunt where children must follow the trail to find the treasure that awaits.

Those travelling with children a little older may want to take them to the magnificent O2 Arena where they can see Star Wars in Concert.

Taking place on the Saturday, this show promises a fantastic spectacle of light and sound which have been brought together in a way never seen before.

It features an extensive selection of Oscar-winning scores from composer John Williams, coupled with amazing special effects.

There will also be an exhibition of memorabilia from all six movies, including original models, props and costumes.

If this Easter weekend is a chance for couples to spend some time to themselves then London is definitely the place to do it.

Music lovers will want to make their way to the Barbican to see the great London Symphony Chorus together with the City of London Sinfonia and top soloists light up the arena with a performance of Bach's St Matthew Passion.

St Matthew's dramatic descriptions of the events leading up to Christ's death are brought to life wonderfully by Bach's music.

Another musical extravaganza will be played out not too far away at the Southbank Centre, where Harry Christopher will conduct a small ensemble of singers who will deliver the music of Leonin and Perotin.

An investigation into the early development of sacred music in the Western world, this promises to be an interesting and unique evening's entertainment.

Also taking place this weekend is probably the most famous water-based duel anywhere in the world.

The Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race returns to the capital for the 156th time, with Cambridge hoping to strengthen its dominance over its rival with another victory.

With events visitors can always find something that interests them, however, hotels can be a different story, with some having higher standards than others.

One of those which achieves the highest standards is the luxury London hotel the Milestone.

Guests can experience this for themselves by booking the Get More From Your Stay package and enjoying one of the perks, which include a bottle of Veuve Clicquot, a romantic turndown, shopping vouchers for Harrods, a three-course table d'hote dinner for two and a flight on the London Eye.
