Opera Holland Park

This summer, opera company Opera Holland Park is producing its annual season of performances under a temporary canopy in Holland Park from June 3rd until August 9th 2008.
Come rain or shine, guests staying at luxury London hotel the Milestone can enjoy the event in west central London as the venue is fully covered with openings at the sides.
Beginning with Verdi's Il Trovatore on June 3rd 2008, the four-act opera will be sung in Italian with English surtitles.
The cast members include Stephen Gadd, Anne Mason, Rafael Rojas, Paolo Pechiolli, Stephanie Corley and Michael Bracegirdle.
A special charity gala will take place on June 10th with proceeds going to the NSPCC.
Later on in the season, operas to be performed will include La Fille du regiment, The Magic Flute, Tosca, La Gioconda and Iolanta.
The season will conclude with Pulcinella by Igor Stravinsky, choreographed by Regina Wielingen and featuring mezzo singer Carole Wilson, tenor Aled Hall and bass Keel Watson.
